Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Table Manners RD Ltd collects and uses your personal information when you contact us or submit a booking enquiry, and the rights you have over that information. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
01Who we are
Table Manners RD Ltd (“we”, “us”) is the data controller responsible for your personal data. Our registered office is 41/42 Doulton Road, Rowley Regis, England, B65 8JQ and our company number is 17322668.
For anything about this policy or your data, email us at hello@tablemannersrd.co.uk.
02What we collect
We only collect what you give us through our booking and enquiry forms, or when you email or call us. That typically includes:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Details of your event — date, venue, guest count, number of courses and the pieces you’re interested in
- A delivery postcode, if you ask for delivery
- Anything else you choose to tell us in the notes field
- Basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, which our website host records in server logs when you visit or submit a form
When you submit a form, we email a copy of your enquiry to our team and automatically email you a confirmation that we have received it. We do not collect payment card details through the website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
03How and why we use it
We use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiry and prepare a bespoke quote
- Check availability and manage your hire booking
- Arrange delivery, collection and set-down
- Keep records of our dealings with you
- Send you an automatic confirmation that your enquiry has been received
- Keep the website secure and protect it from spam and misuse
Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing that contract once you book, and our legitimate interest in responding to and managing enquiries. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
04Marketing
We will only send you marketing messages if you have asked us to or where we are otherwise permitted to. You can opt out at any time by replying to any message or emailing us.
05Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the business — namely our website host (Netlify), our email delivery provider (Resend) and our email and office-software provider, which holds our business mailboxes. They process it on our instructions under appropriate agreements. We may disclose information if required by law.
Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK’s international data transfer provisions.
06How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our legal and accounting obligations — generally six years after your event — after which we securely delete or anonymise them. If an enquiry does not lead to a booking, we delete or anonymise it within 12 months of our last contact with you.
07Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to data portability. You can also withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it. To exercise any of these, email us and we’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
08Cookies
Our website is designed to work without tracking you. See our Cookie Policy for the detail.
09Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
